Title: Field trip to Safa and Gulf Dairies
Presenters / Conductors: Students of Year 12 BTEC Business
Aims & Objective:
To focus on how marketing, research and planning and the marketing mix are used by Safa and Gulf Dairies.
To gain more insight into the communication and marketing of businesses in a practical setting.
Summary:
In order to facilitate learning and enhancing focus linked to real world contexts, our Year 12 BTEC Business students’ were taken on a Field Trip to “Safa and Gulf Dairies” on Tuesday, 26th November 2019. 12 students attended the field trip to the factory of Gulf and Safa Co. The students were introduced to the Quality Assurance Manager, Ms. Sanaa, where she briefed students on the working of the organisation and the purpose of the factory. Students were introduced to the production process of Al Safa Dairies and provided opportunity to learn more about their production process, the marketing process and their communication structure of the company. The instructor toured students through the inner working of the factory she explained the process by which the organisation produces their products, and her role as the quality supervisor. The instructor ended the tour by giving students a bag of a few of their best products.

 

Student/Parent/Teacher Feedback:
The field trip was very engaging and an enjoyable event, as a student, I found it very interesting on how the businesses operate and how they can be capital-intensive. This field trip taught us not only about the company’s communication and marketing, but also how they produce the goods. It was informative to also understand the intricate details that are associated with the production process of such goods. – Sami Shaikh 13C
