Collaboration is the key

The Year 12 Economics students collaborated to present their key findings based on the case studies provided to them . This exercise helped them to delve deeper into the subject and  relate the topic to real world examples . Collaboration and group presentations are an excellent form of active student-led learning.  

Graphic Organizer as an effective T&L strategy

The Year 12 Economics students used knowledge mapping  to understand the difference between the asymmetric and symmetric information. The real life examples of  information failure were explored using  Mind Maps. This enabled the students to gain conceptual clarity over core economic concepts.  

Active Learning using real world links

The Year 10 Economics students were assigned with countries (Developed, Developing and less developed Countries) to discuss the economic system in the Country . The objective of this activity based learning was to analyze the features of economic systems with real world  examples of Cuba, China, Poland and USA.
