The Business students of Year 12 won accolades for the Winchester school yet again by shining at the Heriot Watt Inter-School Business Challenge .On the 30th Jan 2016 Karishma Hiro, Hansi Hettiarachchi, Wing Yee Chan, and Tanvi Doddihal participated in the Business Challenge. It was a unique, stimulating experience that allowed students to receive a hands on experience of running a business. They had to face 5 rounds, each of which symbolized one financial year, wherein they made operational decisions. The students had to decide on production levels, the level of advertising, hiring of employees, and pricing levels by analysing fictional news reports, financial statements of previous years and market research reports. The results of these decisions affected business performance in the next round. Our students successfully competed against 47 other teams, and topped the ‘Dubai category’. They won AED 600, which was split equally among the 4 team members.
